My eldest is 8 and I know how he'd be - they need some reassurance don't they?

Little tip is to ring the house phone from your mobile then talk for a while to make it all more plausable

The new Golf is the 9th most stolen car in the UK. Small comfort.

Cars are mostly stolen from supposedly safe home driveways and garages. Insurance is higher for cars parked thus than those parked on the street. From what I have read so far, most of the stolen GTIs and Rs have been parked in this 'supposedly safe' way.

They tried to get in the conservatory door and the kitchen window,the locksmith has just noticed this,the police did not.So the have f ucked 3 doors and a window. :angry:

Very sad news. Most important is u wife & kids are OK. Try not to dwell on this matter in front if the kids (from experience they will hold onto this more than you).

Sounds as though this has been stolen to commit other crimes (GTI's are SO hot they'd struggle to move it on). Keep the faith & we'll all keep our eyes peeled for your car.

Sorry to hear that you have had your car stolen. I lost my 4 month old GTi in January but it happened at 2am in the morning whilst I was asleep upstairs. Although the police have now caught the 2 offenders from what I have heard they are investigating a massive ring of these people stealing cars to order. The trauma of losing the car will pass, its just the hassle of getting everything sorted. I hope things work out well for you, good to hear that your family are safe.

FFS absolutaly gutted for you. What a  crap society we live in. Feel sick hearing this.

Well a cars a car and that side of things will sort its self out. So sorry again mate and hope your family are ok.
