As some of you guys may have recently read
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=177986.0 Ive been having a bit of a dilemma with my Weitec Ultra Gt suspension kit that i picked up for a bargain price. Since ownership ive had to purchase earlier top plates (Jom lowering ones) to fit the springs as they were originally made for the mk3 Cabrio & TDI. I fitted new Febi top mounts and bearings all round but still the car sits about 15mm higher at the front and im getting a clonking noise from the front when turning plus im finding that all four corners are thumping over most bumps in the road.
This in turn has got 7 month pregnant missus complaining (nothing new there) that's it's too bumpy and to be fair im finding it firmer that than what i was expecting soooo....im thinking that a change of springs is the way to go here.
I obviously want to keep my new Weitec GT shortened dampers but would like to hear some of your opinions on what decent springs i should match to them that are on the more compliant side of road comfort.
Im not after massive drops in ride height, just a reasonable drive with improved abilities over the utter tosh that was fitted at the VW factory.
Ive listed a few options above but any other options could be considered, thanks.
