Wheel refurbishers in Hull area?
« on: 14 April 2011, 12:05 »
Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I need to get the 20" BBS rims on my Jaguar XKR refurbished. Although I live in France, I have family in Hull and will be going up there in the spring/summer. Does anyone have any good wheel refurbishers they could point me to?

TIA

what do you want doing?

my friend can split them polish the lips and have the rest of the wheel powder coated.  Price will be around £300, depending on how many of the bolts snap! He is located 30 miles south of hull, between hull and lincoln.  you can contact him through his website www.map-tech.co.uk  the site is for remaps - he needs to get one done for wheels!

hope that helps, dave

They look like they have chrome trims on them, there not polished. I tried to get some new trims from jag before and they only sell new wheels are £800 each.

Apologies for bumping my year-old thread, but I finally got my wheels refurbed a couple of weeks ago on a trip over to the UK. Many thanks to all who replied to my query, either through this thread, or via PMs

Here is a quick pic of the car with its nice clean rims.

Couple of questions. Where did you get them done in the end and why couldn't you get them done in France?
Mk1 Leon Cupra TDI - Keeping
Mk5 Golf GTI - Revo Stage 1 - FOR SALE £5,250
Mk3 GTI 16v Anniversary - OEM+ - Gone :(
Mk4 GTI 2.0 - Slow - Good Riddance
