There are airbag areas in  me7.5 1.8T engine ecus (nothing like AGU ecus which dont have ecu coding in the engine ecu)

I am going to have a play with ME7.5 AUM Codewort Tester: Airbag-Botschaft to see if it stops the DCT flag or code on my Golf but I am 99.9% sure its just comunication error between contollers talking to each other not to stop the dash light as this flag would be from the air bag controller?

Other areas to look at
Soll-Checksumme der Airbagbotschaft
Timeoutzeit für Airbagbotschaft
verlängerte Timeoutzeit für Airbagbotschaft
Zähler für Codierfehlererkennung der Airbagbotschaft
Fehlerklasse: Airbag-Botschaft

Sorry Craig, just noticed your (various) replies.

Yes we can decode ECU's but it depends on what the customer is wanting to have coded or mapped out i.e. IMO, EGR etc.

Nick is right, some things cannot be fully coded out such as Airbags.  I just assumed the OP was asking to have his IMO coded out.

Thanks mate, I (Craig) don't have any experience airbag coding in the ECU department
