Monza on a non GTI?
« on: 06 April 2011, 23:15 »
Hi all,

Im in a 2.0 GT FSI, and contemplating swapping out the original 16" alloys for some 17" Monzas.

Would this look OK? Or would it give you the impression of trying to look like a GTI?

I don't want to be trying to be something I'm not, but I do like the Monza alloys.

There are an awful lot of mk5 owners out there that don't have GTIs who are running around on Monza alloys.
As Wayne says, they look good on there and if you like them why not go for it. There will always be the purists who say you shouldn't do it, but at the end of the day, who cares?

Wheels alone Dan, in my opinion, won't make you look like a wannabe. That title arrives when people stick a GTI badge on and genuinely think that makes it a GTI! They look good so stick some on mate but avoid curbs

I'm gonna put Porsche wheels on my Golf 911
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3
