respraying a car yourself?
« on: 06 April 2011, 13:28 »
Has anyone done this before?
Im thinking of doing it to my mk1 cabby cos the paint has seen better days, but i cant afford to take it in somewhere.
What are easy colours and finishes to spray?
Could i get a decent electric blue finish doing it myself?

I have read a few guides on how to prep it
My car has a dint in the door so I sprayed my spare door in a light blue (K5U) to match my car earlier today and put laquer on etc... and it looks alright to me!
Easily as good as the paintwork on the car... dont think i can be bothered doing the whole car though
Ill probably just respray the worst bits
