bora newbe!
« on: 05 April 2011, 13:48 »
hello all,

joined here today, long overdue!

been driving vw, audi, and skoda for a while now.

currently drive a decent enough example of a bora 4 motion, a bit modded but nothing major on a y plate with 3 previous and 77k on the clock.

the bora is a gap car really, had a skud vrs last year, turbo went pop, got it fixed at awesome in manchester then the powersteering went too, so got that fixed and sold it. bought the bora as a safish bet to run for a while without allot of bills! had to have it in for work when i first got it, the previous owner of 3 years did oil changes twice a year and heldex oil changes at awesome but never got it serviced properly so i faced its first service bill for 4 years and it was about 900 quid. since then it has been a rock, leather heated recaro's, cruse, climate, miltek+carbonio sound awesome . so part of me thinks i need to keep this for a while......

but

i came on here as i want a mk11 16v like this one  :nerd: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2629121.htm

and when the time is right i would pay near that money for and example like this, im not a diy mechanic, i love cars and can do bits i need to get by and save some pennies, but if it needs work it will have to go in to awesome, so looking to pay high end for an example that has been very well maintained. i start work on building a car port for it next weekend.

if i dont get one soon, im never gonna own one!

watch this space lol.

hopfully side image of the bora 4 motion as it is now and r32 internals, love the geniune r32 wheel!

hope this has worked, newbie at this.

dont know now weather to keep the tyres stretched and wheels refurbed or new tyres fit right with wheel refurb? also been reading that a remap may be better than i thought.

or could leave it as is and save the money for my mk2 gti? hmmm.
