ha ha,

vauxhall omega hey what a car that is.lol. I have just sold my volvo t5 to buy a golf, what a car that was not to everbodys taste but

a fantastic drivers car,. I was really sorry to see the car go , the guy picked her up today, but im sure it will be worth it when i pick

up my golf. And on that note if anyone knows of a good clean example then please contact me at

craigthejones@hotmail.com.

With this next question i might spark a bit of debate, and here it is,. 8v or 16v which is better, pro's and con's would be good,.

8v:

Pro - so slow they are unlikely to of been ragged to death. owner would of given up years earlier
Pro - it'll never be nicked
Con - might be overtaken by a milkfloat
Con - lots of deluded 8v owners out there

16v:

Con - they are all thrashed.
Con - they are hitting ever more solid fixtures. every single one has seen a body shop.
Con - the purchase of one will get you at least 3 points on the licence
Pro - think 8v, except faster, lower, firmer. actually, think - "totally different car"

 I got a 16v and have had afew 8v have a go and they r so much slower like they stand still compared. I would go for the most spec car you can get also pref  a H J or K Plate would be an advantage. Mine is a 5 door K Plate but needs 4 doors soon plus a wing. Look for the most standard you can get mine was un modded totally when i got it i just put g60 RM splits a kn panel filter a Sebring zorst and lowered by 35mm otherwise the only non vw mods are smoked indicators . Plus i have a rallye front end on atm but unsure if its gonna stay on  :undecided:

My opinion would go 16v plus oak greens are good plus look @ the seats as they r the common failure inside!!

valver everytime. I had an 8v in mine and after driving Danny's 16v it was like a different car. the 16v is in a different league at high revs. the 8v does had a little more lower down the revs, but once you get past that the 8v doesn't have a lot to offer. tuning wise the 16v takes better due to the better breathing.

then again.... 20vt

if you have driven good examples of both then there should only be one winner. 16v everytime
