V5 is an okay engine... just in the wrong golf.If there was a V5 in a MK2 it would kick a 1.8 MK2's arse, however in a MK4 or a Beetle they're just gay.
So... you can arrive at the salon quicker in the beetle so you can have your girl thingy waxed before your golf driving counterparts!
In all seriousness though, the beetle is a great car.
