GT TDI Tailgate Not Working???

hello,

I have a 2005 GT TDI and yesterday everything on the tailgate stopped working. i.e. Windscreen wiper, Fog Lights, Brake Lights, reverse light, Lock/latch soleniod etc.

I have taken of the plastic panel and everything seems fine, and i have taken the rubber wire grometts off and all the wires seem ok. All fuses are fine althought i couldnt quite make sense of the fuse diagram as there didnt seem to be enough fuses for every item. (but thats obviously just me)

Has anybody has this problem before or does anybody no what could be wrong??

if you pull out the 'compartment' for lack of a better word,underneath the healight switch there's another box in there, couple of fuses and loads of relays. try poking around in there.
