^^^^ Rick
Second hand R with 10.k on the clock £26k
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2800686.htm

I couldn't or wouldn't justify the wait or cost of a new R

I've been looking at that car for a few weeks now with desire in my heart. If I had a decent offer on my GTI I think it'd be coming home with me!
I may ring a few dealers to see what they offer me as a straight buy now the guy has dropped that R by a grand, so get your skates on Rick or I may beat you to it! Only kidding (I think) as I'm too busy to do much at the moment. Got a week off coming up very soon though!

Thanks, I looked at that one a few days ago Neil [Not in the flesh, on PistonHeads], it looks exceptional body wise in the pics but I really want one a bit later than 59 plate and preferably from a bit nearer home.

That ads been up for about 2 weeks now, it seems cheap enough but he hasn't sold it for some reason; wonder why? Accident damaged/repaired maybe?

I don't think it's been in an accident or anything, I first saw it on the R forum where there's a bit more info. We'd also mentioned it over on StevePs forum: http://www.rforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1355.0

That R on pistonheads looks a real beauty.

The colour has real grown on me over the last year or so. Shall be keeping my car for another two or three years though until she's fully paid for.

Yes, the rising blue is a fabulous colour, it's grown on me too.

That colour of RB is now as common as muck on an R and has now become the default 'Essex' hue. Vulgar due to popularity.
How about a classy Shadow Blue (SB)? The colour has only recently been made available for the R.

Shadow Blue has been available since launch for the R... it's just not many people chose it. It's one of those colours that only looks good in bright sunshine. In dull conditions, it looks... well a bit dull.
