The ED30s hold their value really well and are really sought after, I can see this being the same.

For me it makes sense financially just to completely pay the GTI off over the next couple of years and trade it in for a Mk7. Extending the finance for an R or ED35 at this stage doesn't make sense to me when the Mk7 is a year or so away. I just hope the GTI holds it value for when I come to sell it in the future as they cost enough in the bloody first place these days.

No point getting one's knickers in a twist, at least for now for me. I keep a car for 3 years, so I'll twist my panties at the end of 2012.
