MK2 Golf MFA Problem
« on: 30 March 2011, 23:21 »
Hi, I own a 1991 MK2 Golf 8V, and it has been great for the past year I have owned it. I put it in the garage over the winter, and on coming to revive the beast for the summer, I have found the MFA computer display seems to be malfunctioning in some way. There is a dark blotch which seems to be creeping down, at the moment, its really annoying, but I'm worried that it will get worse and completely obscure the MFA display. Can anyone tell me why this has happened, and what I can do to fix it? Any replies much appreciated. Thanks, reece

Got too cold or the fact that the car is now 20+ year old could also be that the battery went flat and it can shag 'em up when you recharge 'em.

I Had the same issue when my car  was being re-painted and It knacked them up... Try pulling the fuse think its 21... or disconnect the battery for 10 mins, failing that I have some replacement units listed on ebay from a job lot of clocks I bought from a guy...

if pulling the dash fuse for 30 seconds doesn't fix it, you need a new set of clocks
