lol ... what debate ??

They made them, but hardly imported any into the UK - so u'll find that they're either left hand drive or a right hand drive conversion!

VW made a mk2 G60. ?It was basically a Rallye but without the 4wd hardware.

They also made a corrado G60 and a Polo G40 along the same lines - a supercharged 8v.

VW made a mk2 G60.  It was basically a Rallye but without the 4wd hardware.

...or the big arches, or the different bumpers, front lights, grille, larger intercooler etc etc etc :)

Thank you all.

Next Q.

Ive had 3 Mk2 Gti's, 2 X 8v and 1 X 16v.

I  want either another MK2 Golf or  corrado G60.

A) what would be the advantage of a Corrado G60?

B) How can I find a Golf G60?

C) is it poss to Supercharge a Golf Gti?

a) hard to compare two different classes of car. corrado = rwd 2 dr coupe with sharp handling.

b) autotrader, ebay, classified ads in golf magazines

c) yes, but it'll cost you more than a straight G60 engine conversion

A) The advantage? Of a Corrado over a Golf G60? If you are comparing a Golf G60 to a Corrado G60, forgetting anything about what they look like, the big difference will be that the Corrado is RHD

B) www.performancevwmag.com/classifieds the ad's in the back of PVW or Golf+ magazines, various online forums such as on PitstopDevelopments, E38 etc. Check loads of links on the front of www.golfgti.co.uk

C) Supercharge a normal mk2 GTI? Not worth the effort. Better off buying a complete G60 engine and doing the swap. A complete quality G60 setup would go for around 1k towards 1.2k A charger by itself will cost you 800-1200!

G60 Golf's start at about 2.5k

I would seriously recomend a look at this:

I know the owner and the car. Offer him 3250 and you could have a very tidy G60 :)

Is that right?  I thought Corrados were fwd :undecided:

Definately sharp handling though
