engine conversion

rite then my head gasket just went so im now looking for new engine to fit to a sh!tty 2.0 mk 4 too slow anyone ever done a 1.8 t conversion to one of these as the body work is mint so dont wana get rid any info please

I would put another 2.0 into it. From there sell it if you really want a turbo

That might be the case, your still looking at a major job plus insurance wise you could be looking at paying more than a factory car.

People are so negative  :rolleyes:

If you're handy with the spanners then crack on and do it!!  Best way is to buy a rear ended car that's been written off and blag all the bits for the conversion.  Note that things like water pipes, ARB etc are all different so bear that in mind if you do go ahead with the conversion  :nerd:

Sell what you don't use to recoup the costs :afro:  My mate Dai who did the conversion MADE money out of doing it  :smug:  And his insurance went up by less than £100
