VW tends to upgraded the 'lesser' models with bits from higher spec models if there is an overstock when a model comes to the last few years of its life

i must have had mine chucked or stolen, got no battery cover and no bonnet sound dampening, whats going on?

The battery is a VW/Audi one too so would have thought the jacket would have been put back on...if it ever had one. Bonnet has never had any tell-tale marks/outline that something was ever there though....strange. Overseers probably right
