B111Y VW - Bora 1.8T Sport
« on: 26 March 2011, 18:01 »
This is my latest money spender

2002 1.8T turbo sport

Got it reasonable cheap because it had a dent in the wing

The car was 190 miles away and i set off on my 1st train at 7am, by 12.15 i had been on 4 trains and got picked up from station.

Everthing was all pucka, Went on a bit of a test drive and All OK. By 1.20pm I had paid my money and heading home.

55 miles later and the bl00dy water pump went on me, what a nightmare

I called the RAC, which came out to confirm the waterpump had broke, Then i had to wait to be recovered home, Several hours later the car was loaded onto a recovery truck, I get back in swindon at 10.45pm.

What a long day.

This was a few weeks ago, so since then the car has been in the garage to have a new waterpump & cambelt.
While it was in there I had an induction kit & dump valve fitted.
It was then moved accross to paint shop for new wing and paint.
Once i got it home ive fitted Recaro interior from golf turbo & a set of Monty 2's

Today I have had a R-tech remap, which I am very impressed with the results

B4 was 164bhp & 174 torque
NOW 213 bhp with 241 torque

The diiffernce in performance is amazing

I will get some pics up soon of the changes on car

I have ordered a rear boot spoiler and that will be fiited in the next few weeks
