Just took my Mk3 (now had her 3 days) down to the our local hand car wash, which do real good job for ?4. As I was sitting there I noticed 1 of the lads with the rear wiper arm in his hand trying to put it back on the hatch
he had snapped it off at the cast part?
After a few words I took the Boss of the car wash down to the maindealer were he paid ?13.26 for a new one.?
I latter had a closer look at the broken arm and noticed that? the reason the arm had snapped off could of been because the hinge part was corroded and seized. In order to save yourself ?13.26 for a new arm I would reccommend that you spray the hinge part with WD40 and and check that there is full movement of the arm before going down to any car wash.Good job I was not washing her myself
