Surprise Airbag light... Help please!

Hi all,

I was driving home from work today and all of a sudden the airbag fault light came on. I've stopped and started a few times and it pings at me every time i get in the car. I can't see any reason why it has come on, not changed the stereo, not been in a prang...

Anybody have any ideas?

Car is having a service tomorrow and the guys have a Bosch diagnostics. They're not VAG specialists, are they likely to have the tools for the job?

Check the connectors under the front seats.

As posted connectors under the seat give problems however untill you get it scanned you have no real way of knowing.

Well they plugged it in and it said sporadic error for the front passenger seat. I thought it was weird as no-one was sat in that seat when the light came on! However they erased the error memory and it hasn't come back since!
