Dont suppose anyone has got any quotes or advice on buying a VR6

teacher at work is selling is an L reg metallic light blue one completely standard.

Only one insurance company will touch me fully comp ?1200
my gti cab is ?600

is this about right? can i get it cheaper?

and what do i need to look out for on a vr6 he wants ?5000 it has heated leather, everything except air con, bodywork is mint if not the best colour

anyone give me any help?

cheers

I hate to say it but yeah, insurance is highly unfair to us VR drivers.

I got 2 years no claims and got quoted ?858 fully comp, thas for me n the missus 35/34yrs old plus i got 3 points for speeding too (34mph in a 30!)

Bit of advice for you, get a named driver on your insurance who has lots of no claims, a spouce if poss, brings it down a lot!

I'm selling my VR to if your liking them, take a looksy in cars for sale.  Cheaper and More for Less than ur teachers.

its a tad pricey i should get a grand for my other car to soften the blow.

its a late L and has 70k on the clock and is mint inside no wear to the seats 1 scuff on the front bumper thats it, his logbook is like a bible.

i went to see a storm apparantly mint condition with 130k on the clock the bloke wanted ?6500 for it and it was no way mint looked very tired.

black one with aircon at 120k m ?4500 that one had so many stone chips it looked like someone had took a shot gun to the front of it.

?2500 for an m reg automatic there goes the fun already.

cheers

hes going to be hard pushed to shift it so ill go haggle him down

I don't know if it's any good to you but www.churchill.co.uk always give me cracking quotes and i'm only 22. I just did a quick quote on a VR6 94L worth £4500, 3 yrs no claims, parked on drive with a sigma S32 alarm on it and i was quoted £1023 comp and £980 thft, worth a try????

Ahhh, then that's a whole different kettle of fish!

£5,000 for a mint Corrado VR6 with 70k on the clock and full history is not such an unreasonable price.

A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.
