Good Service
« on: 22 March 2011, 20:09 »
It is not usual to report on good service these days but here goes

I have had a few bad experiences with Bristol VW so i went for a change today and i have had my car serviced by Westbury Wiltshire VW.
I booked it in a week before service and was offered a loan car, the service is the 2nd long life service and it was £199.

I arrived to drop the car off and there was no long wait. They took my list of faults off me ok.

Fog light access flap in front arch missing
Horn not working
Wheel corroded
Mirror indicator facing driver missing
Problem with Day time running lights after fitting new CE module.

I have just got back from picking the car up which they had overnight and they have replaced the wheel and all the other parts under warranty and had a go at sorting the coding issue with the CE.

I was expecting the usual large bill when i returned but no it was £199 as they said.

Well done to Westbury VW, they will get my business again.

They did have a lovely Bright Red 3 Door GTI which i was tempted with

I get very good service from my VW Garage in West London.
I think I have terrified them suitably. I do not mean to, but my overbearing presence, eloquence and pseudo knowledge usually results in the required responsive reaction.
I tell them what to do and how I want it done and they politely oblige without argument. I also get it done FOC.
They have had a valuable lesson on my insistence on quality and my attention to fine detail. I have taught them well.
Therefore, I am content with their excellent service, for now. :smug:

It was corroded on the outer rim which is a polished face.

They also told me i need a set of tyres shortly!!! I asked if they would do them on warranty

Interesting, will have to keep and eye on that.  I noticed the polished faces are on 5 of the 10 legs.

Nothing to do with rusty wheels and missing flaps... unless revvo stole the flap!?
