Hi all has anyone ever over filled thier car with oil to the extent the car wont run?
if so what did you have to do to fix it?

Drain it out quick you will cause damage to the cat if your not carefull.

Its not mine. Someone is selling one and he sais he over filled it with oil. Drove it about a mile and then it wont start. I assume he hasnt drained it.

I think I overfilled mine to the point that a seal gave way and caused oil to leak onto the clutch
Id get some drained out before anything else.

when you mean wont start, do you mean itll still turn over?
extra oil = extra pressure, not good for any seals. and it damages the cat

I worked with someone once who overfilled his car with oil - he put enough in to reach the top of the dipstick i dont mean the max level - up to the loop where you pull it out!!
That also wouldn't turn over surprise surprise
