Good dealers
« on: 21 March 2011, 18:04 »
I know that some dealers have a bad rap however I feel I have to advertise Advantage Volkswagen, Stirling for there superb service.

Whilst washing, polishing, etc the car on Saturday, I noticed the most tinyest marks on the near side rear alloy (Monza Shadows) just around the bolt holes.  I said to the missus to mention it to the dealer today when it was going in to have the fog lights replaced.  (Under warranty, water ingress).
Advantage are replacing both the rear wheels as it turns out both are beginning to rust.  No questions asked.  I hadn't even noticed the other wheel.  It turns out I wouldn't have as it was corroding on the inside face.

Yet again, I have nothing but praise for this dealership and cannot recommend them enough.  If anyone is looking to buy from within the Central Scotland area, make your way to Stirling.  The GTi was around £500 more expensive than elsewhere but they are local, and was impressed by their non pushy attitude to the sale.  Looks like if you pay that little bit extra, the service reflects that.

And no, I don't work for them!

Good Service and nice to hear that the alloys are being swapped over too - make sure you protect them now and they'll last as long as you have the car (and beyond)

Does that mean your 18" Monzas were rusting on the inside of the wheel, i.e. on the spokes but on the back? Surely thats bad.

Can't honestly say at the moment.  It was the wife who took it in and I am receiving information from her......
Work away from home during the week so I'll have a closer inspection at the weekend.  Anyone else had this problem as I am of the opinion that nothing on a 10 month old car should be rusting?
