K man, the problem is that you live in Manchester like myself! Im 24 and i still found myself bent over and gang-pounded by all the insurance companies.
Plus i change my car all the time (im in my 30th car in 6 years now lol) so i have decided t get a trade policy.
£1800 isnt bad for that give where i live nd the fact that im not 25 yet!

I remember paying £1600 for my 1.6 mk2 when I was 17, with the car parked on the street and no security on it. Now there seems to be people paying £3000+ for the same quotes. I just don't understand how insurance companies can get away with it, surely it should be classified as ripping someone off  :undecided:

Lad over the road from me is 20 drives a Seat Ibza not sure what cc it is but its not a turbo or anything fast he pays £2800 a year  no convictions driving for over a year. You guys that are getting the good low prices must live in low rate areas as if you lived round here and you was 18 to 23 you would not be roling in a Gti or a VR  they wouldnt want to know..

I just did a quick quote with bell online for my car (without mods because I couldn't be arsed going through that) where I currently live, it came out at £483. I did an identical quote but with a B4 postcode, it came out at £925.23

I live in something like the 25th worst postcode (N18/N9) in the U.K!!! You lot are lucky!!!
But Admiral love me for some reason :D
N17 which is less than a 5 minute drive from me is "Uninsurable" from some companies!

Dom, Try N17 as your postcode and let me know what you get ;)
