looking for a new car
« on: 20 March 2011, 16:38 »
hi, basically im looking for a new car so i can take the mk2 off the road and re build it

i do 300+ mile round trips to uni and back every couple of weeks and apart from that its all round town stuff
i was just looking for abit of advise as to what engine spec to look at for cheapest all round running costs, i was looking at a Gt tdi 115 before but with the price of fuel and the journeys i do im not sure it would be the right way to go?

cheers

you would get better mileage from a derv compared to the likes of 1.8t
and its a big no no to the 2.0

 yeah im yet to hear many (if any) good things about the 2.0

i always thought you needed to do high milage to make a diesel worth while?
doing 10k ish a year still make it cheaper?

How do you get that mpg? I'm getting 27mpg with my Anni, driving carefully as well.
