Its not 5 minutes! With a shoddy generic map from a mong with a laptop then it would be. Rtec give your car a good going over checking your car is healthy enough for a map then put a map on, then tweak it on the rolling road, then test drive it so about 2-3 hours. Well worth the money. £400 is a bit steep. Bring me your car and ill go to Rtec and get it mapped for you for £400!

Was 5 mins for me, they didnt check the car, just asked when I last scanned it with Vag-com and if it had any fault codes, then got in and flashed the ECU. Not slagging R-tech off.. top guys, but just saying what happened when I went.

R-Tech will fit and supply you with a Forge 007p for 85 quid.

They did mine for me.

It isnt just a case of 5 mins. If you go to them then they will give the car a health check before mapping and then if all ok they will upload one of there base maps and have it on the rollers to then tweak the map so its giving the best out of your car but still running safe.

I didn't realise they put a base map on then tweak the map to make it custom to each vehicle. So if the car would judder too much on a certain MAP they could twek it so you had less torque?

That's a top service for a considerably low price.

Rtec can probably get a safe 220-235 out of it but its not about a cock waving figure, its about the midrange and torque.......
