That makes me want to get mine done now Rich, I just wish I could weld properly rather than something that looks like bird poo

Mine had a bare metal respray back in '89 and it never really did anything after that, I put about 4 litres of zinc primer onto the bare shell and it has done it's job keeping the worm at bay for the last 20 years.

One of the things I regret was chopping the front off to put a flip front on so it looks like yours in this pic at the moment, but I will put the metal one back on at some point

Not got any pics of mine unfortunately, been a long time since I did anything with her  :embarassed: It is MG metalic racing green with a diamond white roof at the moment.

As long as I have somewhere dry to store it I don't think I'll sell it, but I don't know if I want to get my garage dirty doing it up

I used to have a slabfront back in the day. Loved it. With a mechanic mates help, managed to shoe-horn a metro mg 1300 engine in her and it proved to be the most fun I've ever had on four wheels.

Except for the time the fibreglass bonnet flipped open doing 70 up the slip road on Gabalfa interchange in Cardiff. That changed the colour of my pants.

There was nothing to touch me off the lights in that thing. Used to shred gearboxes though.

Ahhhh....memories!
