smokey 1.4 ahw engine code

my cars burning oil .

smokes like a train when you pull away , or on the throttle after overrun.

is this a common issue ? as don't want to strip and find that the bottom end is what is causing the problem.

would say it's the valve stem seals, as crank case is not pressurised

only covered 100k also so a bit rubbish for a golf.

valve stem seals have worn, easy fix tho

well , i will be doing the seals later today and tommorrow, so fingers crossed....     will let you know if it works .
have read to many horrors about ahw engine , and if this doesn't work my trade in
