Is that seriously your best repsonse? Difference is I'd rather have 50k worth of equity in my house than on four wheels. Each to their own. Whatever makes you happy!

To you and most other people, come on wazzer you can stand this discussion on your own without needing others to back your opinion up?

I am simply making a a bit of banter on a forum about a car show that a car looks the same as another.

And now your making me out to be some pre-modonna where no one can do what i do? Get F****D trying to make me out to be some ass hole on here!

Taking ideas is something i don't agree with at all! I couldn't agree with tech more. Maybe i take this type of stuff more personally because i'm a designer, and i believe in the whole "original" route. Without "taking" others people ideas. I think there is a difference between taking someones idea and making it your own, and re-making something.

I just don't agree with it. If someone with a mk4 has some bbs lms and air ride, of course there are going to be others like it. Stanton's car is a complete custom build, with many different aspects to it. and this car is literally a replica.

I just find it heart wrenching, i am currently building my own project, and when it's finished i see someone else who has replicated the car i will be a little gutted, as projects like stantons are done to differentiate the car from anybody elses.

I can totally see where you are coming from, but it will always happen - people will copy.

Especially If they see cars in magazines.

I agree fully with this comment, if you build an original and good looking car people will always copy as they like what they see, some would call it being a 'victim of your own success'

maybe you could copy right your car so nobody can steal your ideas

or not take it to any shows and not put it in mags then no one will like what they see and copy anything
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Anyway this is going to a level it weren't intended to go. Good banter is what it's a about, not some c*nt telling me about the equity he has in his house (you don't need to prove to me what you own mate, it's OK to be insecure

I totally agree that people will copy, just must have got to me more as I feel sorry for the guy who brought this originality. To be honest it's a lot like some of my mates who are in the music industry, when they make a track, it kills them when they hear someone else who has worked from theres. I suppose it's just hard to be originial these days !

When the mk4 is this age it takes alot to be original but if someone copied one of my ideas i would probably be raging at first but then have a quiet feeling of pride that people like my idea so much they want there car to look the same
