Some good cars there. Have to say a lot of the cars needed a good machine polish. The majority of them were covered in swirls, shocking.

Have some good ideas now and even more of a desire to get the car prepped for next years shows.
Took ages to get in though, damn the queue of cars!

Got to say i went to this today aswell with the missus and i was quite disappointed by it, especially after being queued for over an hour just to get to the centre. To be fair this was my first VAG show i've been too as i've been more to do with the french scene (i.e. french car show), but since getting my MK4 Golf GTI i haven't looked back, but i have to say the last french car show i went to was better than this.
I was hoping for a few more trade stands, and i know it was advertised to have an auto jumble, but i couldn't find it anywhere?!?
Don't think i'll be attending Ultimate Dubs next year if thats what its like to be fair, next show i'm looking to go for is Edition 38

I agree. I've done Harewood House and GTi International and really enjoyed both of them but I was pretty disappointed with Ultimate Dubs. There were some nice examples of various things, particularly ones from Europe which haven't popped up at the other two shows before but there was a major lack of stalls in my opinion. I only found two tuners cos I'm looking into remapping the Mk6 and didn't find any jumble stalls where I might pick up stuff for the Mk2. And, obviously, with the other two being outdoor you can have a picnic and chill in the sun etc. as opposed to wondering round a large shed. And, as stated, the traffic was horrendous, particularly as you get bundled in with all the local traffic going to ASDA and the shopping centre next door.
I'm glad I've been to say I've been but don't think I'd go again.

My second vw show and thought it was good, gutted no auto jumble as i want a few bits for the anni - cd holder, new fogs and tow eyes for a start.

i saw the ghia and a dodgy looking bug ( 1303 ) outside

loved the mk3 anni with the recaro seats in hall 2

we cued for about an hour and had to go in carpark 2 - where after driving down the m54 in the p*ssing rain the golf looked a right mess once dried off. but my purchase of meguires should keep it looking hot !

need a good show thats not a million miles away to get too

Were we in convoy with a blue MK4, 2 MK3s and a Pissat? If so then yeah that was us.
