MK4 1.8T (51) Help identify a part please
« on: 11 March 2011, 10:40 »
Noticed this yesterday and was wondering what it is and more to the point is it affecting anything performance wise? It appears to have been sheared off

Thanks,

Dave

It's your charcoal canister, it controls the flow of fuel vapours from the fuel tank and plumbs back into your intake/tip, it will not affect performance but it might smell of petrol fumes if it's leaking from there.

Muchos gracias amigo! Put my mind at rest :)

Just got her remapped by Oliver at OptimumTuning, 149 BHP standard and now running at 202BHP. Forge 007P is the only mod but im going for the silicone TIP and hose kit at some point this next month and also a panel filter (pipercross)

Thanks again,

Dave
