Yeah just a handful of jobs then i will mot it and run it.The vr6 will get built up over summer and i will pop it in and smooth the bay over winter then should be ready for UD next year then.About time i enjoyed driving the bloody thing now ha ha

Bucks, the headliner material is a black suede bought from the same suppliers as Aston Martin.Feels great(you can draw your name in it) and smells awesome. The retrimmer did a good job and im well chuffed with it :)

Plus you can stroke it while you drive.
Ive chucked him my spare centre console and asked him to trim that in the same leather as my rx8 seats.

So thats it then ive pretty much done all the big jobs bar the engine so it was detailing time ready for the mot.

Ive not let the paint get bad but im really anal about it and i wanted its 1st outing to look good so i got all my detailing gear out ive been collecting and set to work.

As you can see the thing was real dusty

So i washed it using the 2 bucket method using Dodojuice Born to be Mild  and then i clayed it with some Sonus Ultrafine clay and Dodojuice Born Slippy Lube  :smug:

I then dried it with a fluffy microfibre towel and in the hard to reach areas i blew out with the air gun on the compressor.
Then it was tape up the trim time.

I then did a 2 pass with Menzerna Final Finish and a White Hexlogic pad.

Then after that i gave it a coat of Dodojuice Lime Prime to cleanse the paint, then 2 coats of Poorboys Black Hole with a Black Lake Country CCS pad, then 2 coats of Jetseal 109 and then to top it off I used Swissvax Best of Show wax.
I then polished the wheels and dressed all trim in Autoglym Bumper care and then hit the windows with some Carlack cleanser and then the cream sealant.

Then for the interior i used Auto Finesse Tripple for the door shuts,Mercedes Starguard to condition the leather and then i brushed the suede headliner with a furry gerbil i found next door.

End result.

Thats it.I also fitted a new mint scuttle panel aand cleaned my exhaust inside and out with Meguiars NXT metal polish.

Next job is mot it which i cant see it not passing.

Then run the mother fluffer!

I would imagine most of my next updates will be of the engine build.

After a 12 hour polish fest yesterday i sat back and had a few beers while looking at what ive done over the past year and a half and im pretty pleased.
The engine build is going to be my favourite part of the build so expect lots more to come.

Thanks lads.Really appreciate the comments.
Show wise im not too sure yet.I was hoping to go to Mod Nats in it but ive been a bit busy recently with a snapped cambelt and grinding 16 new valves in her mk4

Got it all up and running only to find the ecu had somehow spiked so its not been sent away to be repaired while i drive a sh!troen Picasso
I might take it to Edition if i can get the weekend off though.I will only be slinging it in the car park though as i dont want to show it till its a bit more worthy with a proper engine.
