I do have bad taste Mr Wherry!

Dont like how the new wheels look on the car so prefer the old wheels.
Now others have gone into detail and said about lowering and lower profile tyres etc.
Maybe then they will look better.

The Borbets are tones better then the old ones :) I can see what you mean about the fitment though! Wheels are so important to get right, personally I think you need to have a good look around before you blow money on tyres and a refurb. Have you checked out the BBS reps you can get on eBay? I know they are fake splits but I have seem them on peoples cars close up and they look the bollocks :)

Just boxed the wheels up ready to be sent off lol
Ive already got 2 tyres(part worn as i want to see if they look ok 1st) if it all looks ok i will get 4 Falkens and i will keep them for this year, they will be worth more for swaps etc in the long run anyway so i may as well get them done.

I tigged a new bracket on the exhaust and popped that back on today so it doesnt sound so much like a tractor lol.Now its parked on the grass while i stick a gearbox on my gaffers big titted daughter this week. Then im saying balls to fixing other peoples cars next week and having a full week on potter!Wahay

I had to read that again, eyes were just drawn to 'box', and 'big titted daughter' for some reason.  :lipsrsealed:

Right so after fannying about with other peoples cars this week ive managed to get on the mk3.

1st off strip the interior out

Then i thought id check to see what the original subframes on the seats look like to give me an idea of the cutting and welding for the new seats.

Turns out they will be a bit of a pig,not got my head round them yet but i will suss it by tomorrow.

I thought id bob the drivers seat in to see how it looked.

After my erection went down i decided to put the other one in.

I then had some alone time in the toilet and decided i will leave the headache for tomorrow and while the interior is out i will bob the drivers side electric window conversion in.

Job done,i now have 2 fully working electric windows and a couple of spares in the garage ready for when they fluck up lol

I will be sending the wheels off for Aeromaxing next week and ive got a couple of part worn tyres in 195/40r16 to try on the wheels when they come back.If i like the look of them with that profile i shall buy 4 new ones.

Cheers Len,proper comfy too!
Also found a pound in the seat runner when i took the old seats out so ive actually made money today.
Plus im swapping the old interior for a set of Hubcentric 20mm wheel spacers for the rear so thats a bonus too!
