Those RX-8 seats? They look pretty sweet, should look awesome when they've made it into your car!

Just not sure about the headrest bit.

They were that shape on the RX8 as it matched the shape of the rotor, they repeated the shape in loads of places.

Will be very nice fitted.

Yeah they are out of a 2008 RX8 will give them a clean and condition after i have stripped the back out of them ready for spraying.
I wasnt too sure about the headrest bit,but then i was going to go for porker seats but after a lot of searching i found these, had a squiz to see how many people had put them in vws and decided to go for it as i couldnt find many.

I think once the silver has gone and they are body colour it will look much better.

Wiring for the electric movement and heating elements look like a bit of a pain but not to worry i will suss it.
Subframes look very similar to mk3 ones so shouldnt be too much of a pain.

Been getting on with the wiring a little bit and have finally figured out what everything does.
After much undercover work on the RX8 owners club using a proxy server as they banned me at 1st for wanting to put RX8 seats in a VW.Ive cracked it!

Ive got front and rear slide
back decline,incline
Lumbar support
and 2 more movements that ive forgotten about but will remember when i upload the pics and vids later!

Just got to sort out the subframes to fit the mk3 bits now but that doesnt concern me much.

Also another little update,as ive not found the wheel i really really want and with a desperation to get rid of the ones that are on,i managed to pick up some new 16's of the Borbet C variety.Got them for a good price and im off to pick them up from Rotherham this afternoon.

Im undecided whther to get them Aeromaxed http://www.aerocoat.net/Aeromaxtm.htm or have the faces windows and front lips mirror polished.
Either way i want shinyness

More updates tonight all being well

Borbets would be ace aeromaxed, not keen on polished / really shiny wheels

Ah you see i like shiny things

Well just got back from Rotherham(grim.com)  picked me wheels up and they are a little more curbed than i expected but they are being refurbed and powdercoated anyway so it's all good.
Got new tyres on 2 and about 5 mm on the others but i think i will need different tyres to the 205/45 16s that are on but i will have a test fit in the morning and see how they sit. They are a much nicer looking wheel than i thought and im hoping they suit the car well.

I will get some pics up when i fit them :)

Are you going to dazzle us with pictures or not?

At least you have finally got rid of those horrible wheels! God they really did let your car down!

When is the conversion now you are allowed to drive on your own!
