Tried again and it worked!!

Looks alright actually, how much of the drivers side doesn it cover though? I guess you can move it though?

I liked the title!

How does the boot look now? is it still dented?

Well your welcome over here anytime mate if you need a hand with anything or you need to borrow some tools gimme a shout as i have most gear needed.
There is actually a Bomber County Dubs meet this sunday coming at 2pm at the pride of Lincoln in well Lincoln
I will be working as usual but there should be a reasonable turnout and its only 25 mins from you if your in Donny this weekend.

As for Wherry yeah the sad barsteward must have a life and stuff or they havn't got to grips with the whole Facebook thing on their little island yet

I was going to pop along to the meet but I'm in the lakes at the moment and won't be back on Donny until mid-afternoon Sunday :undecided:

I might take you up on that offer, I need to replace my topmounts & wishbone bushes and have no-where to work on the car in Donny

Do you have a press to do bushes?

Anyway i got a bit excited(no not about my moist swisher )about my colourant kit coming so inbetween spraying the missus debadged grill and my NSR petrol tank i decided to have a go with the headrest.
I locked myself in my garage and got to work.

1st off you have to use a leather prep which is basically to remove the coating that was put on at factory. The destructions say that you need to rub it till a bit of colour comes off.I soaked a cotton wool ball in the stuff and placed it between the scouring pad.
I then started scrubbing.

I then realised that this stuff is bloody potent and as i started to see sparkly bits i decided to open the garage door.
After a can of redbull and a chat to the fit next door neighbour i got to work on the second headrest.
You can see the difference here.

I then rubbed them both down with a cotton cloth and now i have to leave them for 24 hours to make sure all the solvent has evaporated.

Thats it for now. Will rub a bit more down tomorrow

Well tbh i dont think it covers any less thaan the originals.Well not that i have noticed anyway. But like you say you can adjust it on the spline anyway.
Yeah the boot is still dented mate  i dont want to get it done yet as i want the car undercover while it is being done as i dont want to put covers on it while its away.Im hopefully getting a unit sometime before xmas so i can get on with the engine rebuild/conversion.
