A few months ago, some dummy in a toyota decided to drive into the front of my golf, smashing the wing, headlight and grille.

Insurance on it is only 3rd part fire + theft, so I repaired it myself.

I got the headlight from GSF in Chelmsford, only because I really needed it.

The grille i bought from Eurocarparts was cheaper than a secondhand one from the scrapyard, and it was delivered in a couple of days, totally hassle free.

So I would probably use Eurocarparts again (going to attempt a service all by myself!)

I can't speak for Euro Car Parts, but GSF copy parts are sh!t. I bought a wing a few years back and it ended up in the bin.

I also bought a grill for a mk2 gti from GSF a few years back and it didn't fit properly. I managed to get a genuine one from GPC for a good price.

they have sent me the wrong part once ! but they changed it with no cost to me so can't argue. RICH you will lose your 10% but get 100% better products,
they do sell cheaper parts aswell but cant see the point of fitting cheaper parts only to replace them sooner .
regards kevin ::)

I use Eurcarparts, they are ust down the road from me, they are good but on a couple of occasions have given me the wrong bits. overall the quality is good though.

Use GPC for bits, cheaper than VW for original parts and no hassle fit everytime.

Pattern parts are a false economy

Anyone want proof about the poor quality of some of GSF parts, check the pics of modulators top mounts here:-
