Quick check of Glass's guide gives me circa £18200 (5 door is only worth another 100 notes) for that car assuming it's a 3 door in excellent condition. So room for a bit of negotiation, especially if you're taking finance on the car you'd be buying from Audi.
And Buck is correct, they will just punt it on. However there will be trade contacts and underwriters in the area that will make sure they won't lose any money on the deal, going on the desireability of the GTI, they'll get local specialists and sports car dealerships to bid on it as well as main dealers.
