i have looked into this , id have to buy the engine off the insurence company, as they police wont pay for it to be removed
then id have to pay the towing cost of them takin the car away, and storage for the time it will be there , £30 a day,absolutly rediculous considering i have done nothing wrong and i own the car legally, and then id have to change the engine anyways, as i cant afford a 2.0, so will probly cost me the same amount of what i payed for the car all over again.

it seems to me someone couldnt afford insurance or got a free engine or maybe the 1.6 blew up from RAGGIN the sh!t out of it and decided to put a 2.0 in it n forgot to tell dvla .. or someone didnt want to pay the insurance     who knos ... just enjoy it mate  . still not enough power for my liking

think you missed a few pages pal, the engine was stolen, the car has been siezed, by police, and i have no cash or no car

i think its crazy how someone like you whos done nothing wrong has to suffer and loose out,
i think its really unlucky mate, from all the cars you could have bought you got this one.

unlucky isent the word mate, we as a family simply cannot belive whats going on, i aint your average golf enthusiast , we are a young couple with 2 kids, just really like golfs. we have had so many bangers in the past got a bit better and better each time we got a car, till we finally saved up for this,my partner works from the car, as a home carer, traveling between old peoples houses, lookin after them, so her job is on the line aswell now,we are so stressed out, we cant sleep or anything,i hope he gets the book thrown at him when the police visit him, i wouldent wish this on my worst enemy, but id wish it on the seller.

the police said i do own the car ( the shell that is) i could pay for the engine to be removed, once the cid have finished with it, or try buy the engine off the insurence,but i wouldent be able to touch the car without paying compound charges, that will probably run into £100s
