Odd Pad Wear?

Not sure if I'm being a complete noob here or not!  I've just checked my front pads and they are not flush with the disc, it appears they have warn at an uneven angle.  Both are like this and the rear ones are what I would consider 'normal'

Are they supposed to be like that or not?  Picture attached to help

Same as mine Jim, looks like it is just normal.

I think once the sloped bit disappears the pads need replaced but I could be talking rubbish
