Votex valances now finished and fitted!!

If anyone has looked at my build thread they'd have seen I've been spraying the votex I got. For those that ain't here is the progress so far.





















This is how it is at the moment.









Just need to wet sand it 2moro then do the final coat and then 3-4 coats of lacquer. Can't wait to get it on and start on the rear one

That looks much better coverage than your last one mate top effort.. your really picking this up !! 

How comes so mucyh sanding at start ??

I got a bit carried away at the beginning. Attacked it with a bosch sander with 60 grade paper LOL!!! But it did need it as the paint work on it was terrible. For me to get a good finish most of the paint had to go. But I took my time and good it as good as I could. There are still a few still scuffs and stone chips in it but you can only see them if you get really close to it. Plus it's only gunna get scratched and chipped again anyway. I'm well pleased with it so far but anything can go wrong still.

Exactly! Had no problems when I did my standard valances so I'll just take my time and do light coats.

Not offered it up to the car yet to see. I did the last coat that I put on today about 20 mins before I went to footy so I left it indoors to dry and couldn't be arsed when I got home. I'm going to try it 2moro before I carry on with the lacquering. Hopefully I can get as good a match as I did with my standard valances when I did them.

All going well it should be finished on Monday.
