Sorry guys, my mate has decided that maintaining build threads is simply made un pleasurable when kn*b ends are loitering and posting for no good reason.

However, for those that appear to be of a normal disposition and have shown interest, here is the final update - we got the car running last night!

Clutch bled, gears selected ok - ran for a bit to warm up/check for leaks - all good.

All I can say is Faaark!! - we hit it in anger up to 3rd gear and spun to redline when it came on boost in 1, 2 and 3 - suspension feels solid but not crashy and body control is good - turn in is excellent even without being wheel aligned or height properly adjusted. Clearly she loves a bit of front drift, but not as bad as my 280bhp B8 A4 fwd, although it was spining more than gripping so less torque on the road to steer.

Full spec is: APY 210Bhp, Factory ECU sans immobiliser, remapped by AMD to 265bhp. The S3 was fitted with a Miltek Back box, which is quoted to add 10bhp. Add larger front mount cooler, JBS manifold, Garret huffer, slick custom downpipe - no cat (or mufflers...yet!), 4 bar fpr and she should be, and certainly feels like its chucking out about 300hp!

I managed to drive it quietly for a period and I can tell you that there is very little lag - dual ball bearing and .63 A/R rear housing has seen to that - 5th gear up a hill at 1500rpm, and on the flat from just over 1000rpm seemed fuss free and responsive to full throttle - even with near 30 stone worth of people inside (2 of us ) this will be a very nice relaxing drive, as well as an animal when required. The spare box is currently in the build with a rebuilt torsion LSD, so that combined with the proper tyres should really turn the wick up.
OK Enough from me - thanks for reading and if anyone (Including DH!!) wants to see it, we will be at GTi spring fest at Santa Pod Sunday 3rd April!
