Who can fix my heater?
« on: 05 March 2011, 09:13 »
I've done the search, read the how to's, but I don't think I'm up to the job myself.

Dispite a new genuine thermostat, the car will only ever get up to 1/4 temperature when moving and virtually no heat from the heater. When it's stationary the gauge will go up to a smidge over 1/2 way and the fan will come on, but still very little heat. I've lived with this for so long as I only really drive the car in the summer, but it would be nice if it worked properly.

I don't want people to tell me what I need to do, I want to know who reasonably local to me can fix it. Cash waiting for a job well done.

As long as you can make tea and keep your c0ck in your pants, I'm sure someone will help.

Where in the world are you?

Did you make sure that there is no air in the system after you fitted the thermostat?

Search SY7 9QW on Google Maps. My house is the one with the Passat Estate on the drive, the pub is 50 yrds down the road, the other side of the bridge.       :undecided:

Has anyone ever graffitied your road sign! :lipsrsealed:
I think you either have an air lock, blocked matrix, or the impeller has rotted away on your water pump..
Hope you get it sorted

If it was the water pump, surely it would just overheat due to the coolant not being pumped round? That's what happened with my Mk4 anyway.
