rear fog problem

Right basically my car failed its mot on a rear fog light out.  The bulb is fine and so is the board can anyone think what else could be the problem?

Fuse? Checked the wiring for any obvious problems?

Daft question but is only one working if so that should have not failed.

Fuse is ok as the front fogs comeon.. when I checked the fuse box there was only one fuse for fog lights. Iv only got a space for one fog on the drivers sife. My padsenger lights have a blank where the bulb would go.

My golf only has one fog light it don't gave another bulb lol it's only a 1.4 maybe that's why??? :S

If it's not the fuse and it's not the bulb then it has to be the wiring or the contact point between the bulb and the holder.

I would remove the circuit board and really clean the contacts in the holder and also bend them up slightly and see if that works (I have charged £££ to do this on other cars! saxo's with aftermarket tail lights are most common  )

1 rear fog was standard on them all I believe, drivers side.
