Misfiring/Hesitation
« on: 02 March 2011, 12:29 »
guys, I have a 1.8t AUQ engine and my car is having a misfire/hesitation issue when it gets near 3000rpm. the car feels like it is struggling a bit when it happens and drives ok until that point.

I also notice that the exhaust smoke smells of fuel ...

any ideas???

MAF sensor. Disconnect it and drive on a short journey. It may cut out but if it stops hesitating, thats yr culprit.
