hi all.
major update.
sprayed the gbox and fitted it with new clutch light weight flywheel
then started it up and there was this crazy constant screeching noise like the starter motor was stuck on flywheel. after reving it (we did turn car off and then back again but was baffled to what that noise could have been) so after revving it there was a bang and the screeching noise stopped, now it only screeches on startup, then came to drive it (made a vid btw just need to upload it)the biting point was level to the brake and i could feel the clutch slipping
so decided to ring hotgolf of cgti (my mate said his a diamond)
so after talking with hotgolf, he said that the clutch cable has got short (my fault) and the starter is sticking so will get back tonights to abduls and have a play. abdul cleaned the oil pump out and now the engine is alot quiter and the manifold is better (less blowing) so cant realy say how quick the car is after fitting the flywheel as the clutch keeps slipping. i remember how to unlock the cable after it had been locked but this is not fully releasing.
would help if anyone could point me in the right direction.
