I have been thinking recently (dangerous I know) about messing with the interior of my Rallye. There are 2 reasons for this. Firstly, although the seats look good, they do not hold you in place very well when driving, um, enthusiastically. Secondly, less weight equals better acceleration. So, I am thinking of removing the front and rear seats, plus I guess ditching the heavy stereo gear. In it's place, a couple of lightweight seats such as Cobra Imola's:

What are your thoughts? Is it wrong to mess with a Rallye interior? Will I regret it??

if you take out your original inerior, keep it!! then if you do change your mind you wont have to hunt high and low for a replacement. but if your going for low weight then definately ditch the ICE. may take some getting used to with little speakers but what you lose in one hand you gain in another!!

those corbras look nice, a friend had some corbeau something or others in his mid engined vr6 turboed rallye and they suited it down to the ground! they were fairly similar to those ones above but a bit more 'motorsport'

When driving um, enthusiastically as you put, is it the kind where when you rag it round a corner hard, no matter how hard you tense a butt cheek, you still slide???

But keep the seats and ditch the massive amount of ICE just have a decent set of components in the front and your laughing!  and clear all the un-needed crap from the car i.e. maccy d's wrappers etc. . .

Typical of the rallye half-leathers.. your bum grips until it hits the leather.. then you've got your face against the window :undecided:
