Putting my MK 1 back on the Road.
« on: 26 February 2011, 13:50 »
Hi All
My name is Gary im new to the site and this is my first post.
I own a MK1 1.8 GTI convertable B reg.
About 7 years ago i was told i had a problem with the cold strat injector but the Mechanic I took it to couldn't fix it, I ended up moth-balling it in my garage.
I'm wanting to put it back on the road and would welcome any advice you guys could offer.
Firstly I'll have to come up with a list of thing I need to address before I can try to fix the underlying problem of the cold start infector.

Cheers

Gary..

Welcome. First thing - its a mk1 if its a convertable... Prob a kjet 1.6 or 1.8 I'm guessing if its got a cold start injector.. Or do you mean cold start (choke) on a carb??..use the search function at the top, chances are all your answers are a click away
