6 Degrees DTDC without Marking
« on: 25 February 2011, 23:17 »
Just wondered if I could time my engine to 6 Degree BTDC using this Angle Gauge on the crank pulley:

My DX engine is in a T25 camper van and the flywheel is from a DW gearbox I think it has on it. There are no other markings than TDC on it.

If I use the above gauge on the crank pully couldn't I mark TDC and then go 3 degrees advance? Or is it prob easier and more accurate to get a timing light with an advance?
