Right well been in and out of dubs since 06, had a 2.0 gti

mk4, then a 1.8t a3 , then a corrado 1.8t, so it would only be right to have a mk4 1.8t! after looking for ages found this one 25 miles away!, picked it up just before christmas heres the spec:

Heres the day i picked it up

First on the list was a camblet, as it hadnt been done since 50k ,for some odd reason
got a mate to do it who works at VW, he didnt change the hydraulic tensioner, wound her over, seemed fine, then when he started it bang! 6 engine valaves and 4 exhaust bent, plus new piston crown! not a good start!
3 months down the line and she has a 66k AUM in her! back on the road! day i got it back from the garage , was so happy!

In the three months id accumulated a few bits for it as follows:
Forge 007p
Front and rear aero wipers
8000k HID conversion Kit
Bora sport Gear knob
Remap paid for at Dg Autotech
Sharan Aerial
TT pedal Covers
And the all important richbrook air freshner!
Fitting the HIDS first time ive done it, didnt think it was too bad!





New engine, gave it a clean after, will post a pic later !

people say 800k is really blue, but i dont see the difference between 6000 and 8000k!
After a wash

Then it was remap time, went to DG auto tech in kidderminster, £200 inc VAT with a check over and diagnostic run !

Also de-badged the rear as looks better IMO

really pleased with the end result, goes well, and mpg is up!
