golf shower

I have a major leak somewhere on round my roof/sunroof but I cant pin point where it might be coming from..
I thought it was the sunroof seal being old and worn so I ordered and got a new OEM part from Germany which has been fitted and seams to leave a good tight seal between roof and sunroof I have even glued the join where the seal meets each other.
BUT.... still I seam to get soaked every time it rains and I get in the car... there are no rust holes on the roof and it only seams to be coming in on the drivers side! passenger side seams fine...
I have removed my headlining to look for the root cause but I cant see where it might be coming from... I have cleaned out the drainage tubes which run down the a and c pillars so any water can run out but still having major issues...

What I did think is the black rubber seals which run the length of the outside of the car from the scuttle to the boot are these clipped in or glued???

Does anyone else know where it could be coming in???

Major hep/advise needed as my back seat and front driver seat is getting soaked and damage is starting to show....

Have you tried sitting in the car whilst someone uses a hose pipe and soaks the roof, with a touch you should / may be able to see where it is coming in.

found mine was down to the steel gutter that fixes to the rear of the sunroof, had rust holes in it
the water then didn't get channeled to the proper drain points..
trouble is you need to take the sunroof panel out to look at it ,  it is easy to take  the sunroof out though
